The Litchfield Games are Here!
We are ready for our Litchfield game fundraiser. We now have 492 games in our assembly room waiting to be sold and find their way under lucky persons’ Christmas trees. These are games that promote healthy, educational, patriotic and Christian values in a fun trivia format. You can see a copy of the whole game here at school or at church.

Thanksgiving Vacation
Next week we will have school only on Monday and Tuesday. Our Thanksgiving vacation begins with no school on Wednesday. The public schools had a day off for the elementary students last week for conferences. We have chosen to take our day off on Wednesday so that traveling can be easier for some parents. We have our teachers put in their extra time with evening conferences rather than daytime conferences because it is so much easier for working parents.

Congratulations!
We have a new member of our school family. Alexander William Chvatal was born yesterday afternoon. He weighed 8# 2 _ oz and is 19 _ inches long. We congratulate his kindergarten sister Hazel, his preschool sister Lilia and his parents Robert and Kristi. May God richly bless Alexander and his family.

Picture Retakes
If you are not satisfied with your child’s Lifetouch pictures and would like them to be retaken, please return your package of pictures by tomorrow. Our scheduled retake day is next Tuesday, November 25, and we need to know if we should have the photographer come.

Christmas Scrip Orders
We will be placing special orders for scrip cards on Monday, December 1, and Monday, December 15. Your orders would need to be in by noon on those days. We also have ordered extra cards to have on hand. They make great gifts!

School Masses
We will be celebrating Mass tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. planned by Mrs. Gabrielson and the first graders. We will be praying especially for Fr. Joe whose birthday it is tomorrow. Next week our school Mass will be on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. Please join us in prayer if you can.

Mrs. Klein’s schedule
On Monday, December 1, Jan Klein will be having some minor knee surgery. She will not be in the office at all during the first week of December. If you need to leave messages or send emails to the school, please leave them with me. My email address is: dcarney@hutchtel.net
We all wish Mrs. Klein a speedy recovery.

Christmas Concerts
Tuesday, December 16 –
Concert at Augustana Homes. All students will gather
at the school at 6:30 p.m. to walk over to their chapel. We will be finished and the students ready to be picked up back at school by about 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 18 – Concerts at St. Philip Church at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.

May you have a most blessed Thanksgiving Day!

Christmas Giving

The teachers have requested that your generosity this Christmas season be shared with those who are truly in need this holiday season.
In lieu of class gifts between students and gifts to school staff, we suggest that you donate to the class’s Christmas project:

Kindergarten: Toys for Tots
Grade 1: Items from the parish Giving Tree
Grade 2: Econofood gift certificates for needy families
Grade 3: Econofood gift certificates for needy families
Grade 4: Items from the parish Giving Tree
Grade 5: Econofood gift certificates for needy families

Please send any donation you wish to make by Friday, December 12, if possible. We will present our “gifts for others” to Father Joe as part of our retreat on that day.
