Text Box: We welcome back our School Principal and School teachers as they return to school to prepare for the upcoming Academic Year! We also look forward to our students at St. Philip Catholic School returning to our school this September. Our Faith Formation directors and Youth Minister are eagerly awaiting the beginning of our newly revised Faith Formation Program as well. Someone asked me why we now have regularly scheduled Wednesday evening Classes scheduled for our Faith Formation Program. The answer is: after listening to many parents express concern over the lack of religious education classes we were providing and after seeing the limited # of hours our young people where given to study, exam and explore the meaning of the Catholic Faith…I asked our Faith Formation Directors, to modify the program to provide more class time. We will continue to provide opportunities for Family Faith Nights and service nights, just not as frequently as we have had in the past. I hope that all of our young people and families will find our Faith Formation Program this year to be a very rewarding and enriching time. Our faith as Catholics, our Sacraments and Worship, our long history and rich traditions and teachings…are so awesome that we want and need to share our Faith with all generations, especially our youth. Parents please register your children this week….sign up to help with our program this year… encourage your children to actively engage in the program!

Do you like to clean?  Are you looking for a part-time job?  We are looking for someone who would be interested in helping clean our school for 4 1/2 hours each day.  These would be afternoon and evening hours.  If you are interested, please contact Jean in the Parish Office at 593-4770.

Youth group members mark your calendars to earn money for your trips on September 6 (horse show food stand), September 13 at the Amazin’ Farm (serving for Meeker Cooperative) and September 28 at the VFW (serving breakfast). We need everyone’s help! Please call Tifani to sign up for these fundraisers.

Faith formation registration has begun!

Last week there was a packet of information sent out regarding this year’s Faith Formation. Inside there was a registration form. Please fill this out and return it to the church by Wed., August 27. There is a Registration Table located in the Narthex where you can drop off the form or mail in your registration. If you have misplaced your registration form or didn’t receive one please contact Jodi 593-4775.
